Burton Oven-to-go Over Labor Day weekend, we made our annual pilgrimage to Bend, OR for a few days of rooty and rocky single-track mountain biking and SUV-camping. Every year, we pack along the traditional freezed-dried food that gets thawed out with boiled water. This year, we decided to do something different and far more enjoyable for our raving stomachs. We prepared dishes of eggplant lasagna before the trip, which we then baked at the end of each day in our new Burton Oven-to-go device. This 12-volt oven cooks and warms food from any SUV with a standard 12-volt DC receptacle and did a fantastic job of cooking our dinner each night. Compact and lightweight, it was strong enough to survive our abuse. It comes with two food containers and a 5ft DC cord. It features a positive On/Off switch and a Hi/Lo setting for temperature control.
