Meet the Sherpas
On the first Mount Everest expedition in 1921, the skill, expertise, honesty and dedication of Sherpas impressed the English climbers and from that point on, Sherpas have been an integral part of international Himalayan climbing, both as guides and climbing partners. These Alpine Ascents International South Col Expedition Sherpas have among them an impressive 86 previous Everest expeditions and 32 summits, as well as 28 expeditions to other 8000m peaks, in some cases multiple times and most times summitting.
