Hello this is Willie Prittie reporting for Alpine Ascents South Col Expedition. We just had a very nice, hot and sunny day here at Camp I at the base of the Western Cwm. Last night we did an acclimation climb about halfway to Camp II in preparation for moving up to Camp II tomorrow.

It's a very spectacular day up here and, actually you have to go around a corner a little bit and then the entire southwest face of Everest looms above the Western Cwm so that's the highlight of this day.

Right now as I speak we're just finishing [inaudible]....panorama above 20,000 feet and the sun is dropping below the horizon, and right now it is an absolutely gorgeous evening with rock faces, icefalls, a pair of ice [inaudible].... and an absolutely spectacular 360-degree view here from this camp.

Tomorrow, our plans call for us to actually head on up to Camp II and we'll be doing that earlier in the day [interference]....
