Good morning Mountain Zone, this is Vernon Tejas with Alpine Ascents and we’re at Everest Base Camp. And we’re on hold today, we’re acclimatizing, making sure that everybody’s head is feeling good and that everybody’s lungs are nice and clear and we’re also packing all our food for the higher mountain.

Tomorrow the plan is to start very early, get up at 4 o’clock and out at 5, go up through the Khumbu Icefall, get through the danger sections before the sun comes out and starts warming things up and then to actually establish camp at 19,000 feet at the top of the icefall, that'll be our Camp I on the mountain and we'll spend two days there, again, acclimatizing, getting used to the rarefied air.

Later, once we get acclimatized, we'll move up to Camp II at about 21,000 feet and we'll hang there for a couple of days, again, building those red blood cells and letting the body change in such ways that we can actually handle the altitude. Then we'll descend back down to Base Camp to recover from all that exercise and effort and we'll be able to talk to you directly then. In the meantime, while we're up there, we'll be turning this over to Ellie, she'll be taking our radio calls from the mountain and she'll be passing them on to you.

So stay tuned and look for those photos of the icefall, they'll be coming your way soon. As for the numbers people, everything's the same today - no changes, we're just hanging here patiently.

So see you later, ciao for now - this is all from Nepal.
