Ciao Mountain Zone, now I'm calling from Lobuche, unfortunately. I use this word "unfortunately" because today we start, me and Denis, from Deboche to go directly to the Base Camp, and the plan was, as I told you yesterday, that tomorrow we want to start for the summit.

What's happened today, after 500 meters from the lodging in which we stayed three days, I had a little accident on my left leg and now I have big difficulty to walking. I had big difficulty also this morning, but with big pains. I tried to arrive in any case in Base Camp, but now, after six-and-a-half hours walking I stop in here in Lobuche, so very near the Base Camp, but not there.

And one doctor visited me and he said that there's nothing dangerous, but I need some days rest. And now I have some day rest, now it is only 12 days before the end of the season and now I have to manage these resting days. Right now I am putting cream on the spot; what a stupid accident, like, like...like a child.

And anyway, tomorrow I hope I feel better so I can reach the Base Camp, and Denis have to decide exactly date on which we will start. The plan was to arrive in summit the 21st on Everest and the 22nd on Lhotse, and now I believe we will have one, two day late, minimum.

Anyway, tomorrow will be more precise only because after one night I will see how I feel. I'm sorry for this, very sorry, very much because I have big motivation now, good acclimatization...[Unintelligible]. And I want, and I want, I want, want to go up on the mountain, Mount Everest summit. Thank you, bye.
