Send Mountain Search and Rescue for the Mountain Search and Rescue

Just thought you guys and gals would get a smirk on your face. We were on a search last Saturday looking for a couple in their fifties that were three days past due who were hiking from White Pass to Chinook Pass.

Ouch!

I have never had this happen in my life. I always put a little moleskin on my heals when I climb or go on fast-paced searches. I have never seen anything like this...wish I hadn't seen it connected to my body.

We were the first group to summit Little Tahoma late this spring. I was standing on top of Rainier two weeks ago. All in the same boot. Just the usual discomfort you expect on the slog down from Muir.

The dogs, Kenai and Hop-Sing, are getting a little pissed cause Dad hasn't had his running shoes on this week (nor any other shoe).

Happy climbing...
