Hello, this is Willi Prittie from Vinson Base Camp with the Alpine Ascents International Vinson Massif Expedition. [Unintelligible] the last five to six days at Base Camp, biding our time, a lot of card playing, a lot of book reading, a lot of second guessing the weather. Eating up all of our food, pretty much as we are getting near the end of our food supplies, our diets have gotten a bit more bland.

A typical morning involves several hours of heating up snow and melting the snow for water, getting everybody watered up, having breakfast. We ran out of eggs and some of the real food ran out awhile ago, so we're using up the rest of our dry food here [Unintelligible]. But this Christmas Day [Unintelligible] we have good flying conditions at Patriot Hills and the first of two flights to take everybody back is in the air. Everybody's spirits are up and very buoyant at this point. We're all hoping to get out of here and get back to Patriot Hills and it looks like things finally ready around here on the Vinson Massif in Antarctica.

About half the group is packing at this point and the other half of the group is in expectation that the weather will continue to hold well and that there will in fact be a second flight, and that we will in fact all get out of here. More updates as conditions change, that's all for now.
