Hi everybody, it's Todd...back in Base Camp again. We got hit by another storm last night and yesterday afternoon. It's picked up again. Our altimeters dropped about 100 meters, which means the pressure's gone way up, but still no sign of a break in this. I've just been out shoveling a drift of about five feet of snow leaning up against my tent, and I'm about halfway through Don Quixote. I read Catcher in the Rye yesterday so quite a mix going.

We also had a pretty good day yesterday, in the morning, even though it was a little too rough to take off. We decided to wait until the weather was gone. But John Dufficy built himself his first igloo, and he's living in it now. He's quite happy. It's about six feet tall, and he has to crawl through a very dubious tunnel to get into it, but it's quite a good place to hang out. You can't hear the storm from inside, but it's a little colder than the tent.

Everybody else is doing well. We're hoping for a break in the weather and staying close. Everyone's doing well. Kathy's writing her novel, and Al Hanna is working on his next business. So [laughter] everything's good here. Wish I had more to report, but we, hopefully, are waiting for a break tomorrow; we're going to head up to Gunnsbjornfjeld. Keep in touch and say hi to everyone. Bye bye.
