What a Trip
Sunday, June 20, 1999 — 9:04pm (PST)

Vern
Tejas

[Transmission fades in and out] This is Vernon Tejas at 14,200 feet on Mount Denali with the crew. We just got finished pounding down some popcorn. The wind is blowing 45 knots...ground blizzard...what a trip, you can hear the wind in the background...several groups are holed up...there's other groups up at...Jim Williams did not move today, because they probably had 50 mile per hour winds, but we're going to talk to them shortly on the CB radio and find out what their plans are.

Scott Darsney's group did come up today from 11,000. They are know here at 14,000, they're trying to put up tenets in the storm...before the wind blows them off...things are copascetic... [transmission fails]
