Hey this is Jamie Pierce calling from Tarangire National Park. Sorry about the delay for a couple days, we had some phone difficulties but the whole group is with me and we've enjoyed a couple of spectacular days driving around, more like bouncing around in our Land Rovers, around the African country.

We started from Arusha and headed west towards Ngorongoro Crater, passing by, of course, the Great Rift Edge...[Unintelligible]...Upper Rift Valley into the Ngorongoro Crater. It's surrounding, of course, dormant volcanoes. And, of course, going down into the Ngorongoro Crater and enjoying the spectacular wildlife.

We had a very fortunate chance to get right up alongside a whole pride of lions. Of course, they were resting. We witnessed them in their sort of food coma, after eating a lot of food and everyone was marveling at inactivity, but in a sort of ...[Unintelligible]...last night witnessed a really good and much needed rain, a shower as we were driving back to the lodge...[Transmission Fails]

Anyway, this is Jamie again and we had some termites flying all over the place and that was just a spectacular display of the natural habitat as we approached our lodge last night. Anyway, we drove on to Tarangire today, bouncing around, the roads are pretty rough, and witnessed a huge amount of elephant habitat. Roaming around some tusker elephants, everyone getting lots of photographic opportunities here in the African landscape. Tomorrow we will go on a game drive before we head back to Arusha.

The highlight today, before I forget, was the chance to stop and visit a Masai village. We brought them a lot of water and that, of course, put huge smiles on their face and witnessed them in sort of their aboma, which is their sort of natural habitat which they live in and subsist in - very interesting. Everyone had the chance to go inside the villages and really sort of experience what these folks go through. On one hand it's a very hard way of life, but on the other, a very happy and engaging and neat way to experience these folks and their life.

Anyways, tomorrow we head back to Arusha. Everyone is sort of excited about this trip so far and also I think they are excited to be on their way home, at the same time. I'm happy to see the trip coming to a close and that's really about it.

So this is Jamie Pierce signing off for tonight. I hope this all goes through and good night. Bye bye.
