Patience Camp Thursday, June 29, 2000
It's Thursday evening, June 29th. This is Bill McCormick with AAI trip number six and it's still Patience Camp. We are holding at High Camp. Today we've had light snow, light winds, heavy fog all day. We did have another party, Willi Prittie's, left to get some exercise and head up towards Denali Pass and I haven't seen... they haven't returned yet so who knows. We could cross our fingers; they may have popped through the fog and snow layer. But as far as our group goes, tomorrow we're all hoping for that break and we'll head on up. The food stores, fuel...everything's holding. It probably is just more of a mental game right now and a lot of card playing going on. Fortunately, we have a gambler's tent and the scores are 2000 and 1900 and this and that. And we'll, hopefully, have more of a dispatch tomorrow but I guess that'll be it for tonight. Good night.
