Good evening Mountain Zone, this is Luis Benitez with Scott Darsney and Matt Szundy. We are up here at 17 camp, it was a pretty good day all in all. The weather didn't cooperate too much for us to go back down to 16 and retrieve our gear. But luckily, we were able to utilize our resources here and put together a superb lasagna dinner and dig in our kitchen tent, which we call the posh house, which everybody kind of cozied into and courtesy of John who brought his shortwave in. We all got to listen to the news — listen to the local Anchorage NPR station — and have a pretty pleasant evening overall.

It's currently still snowing outside, low visibility, kind of windy and chilly. But we're a little better established here today — a little bit more dug in. We spent most of the day building walls and making our camp a little bit nicer place to live.

So far everybody's health is hanging in there, no real problems to speak of. Everybody is just kind of feeling 17,000 feet, but other than that good news. So this is Luis for Alpine Ascents and Mountain Zone, signing off.
