DISPATCHES
Previous Next

Hi there everybody on the Mountain Zone, this is Scott Darsney with Luis Benitez. We're at 9,700 feet and tomorrow we're going to move up to 11,000. We had a great day today. We moved down to [Unintelligible] to pick up our cache at the [Unintelligible] and we brought everything up. Beautiful sunshine today...had a great quesadilla dinner.

Just ran into Bill McCormick and John coming down from their summit bid. They all did very well and we kind of passed and said, 'Hello,' along the way. And now they're headed down to Base Camp.

So we'll probably be out of touch with the dispatches here for a day or two as we'll be in the infamous Snow Bowl of 11,000 feet and not too many signals get out of there.

Anyway, look for my photography site on the Mountain Zone, as well, and I hope everyone is listening in to us and keeping tabs on Tom Bridge up there who's at 17,000 — I think Tom just moved up there today.

So the weather forecast looks good for the next few days. We've got high pressure moving in so we should be able to get up to 14,000 in the next few days. And keep listening in to us and we'll have hopefully some more stories and adventures to share with you as we get further up the hill. Scott Darsney now signing off, see ya.
