Athletic Resume: Francis is a rock and ice climber and has climbed many of the highest Guatemalan Volcanoes. He has been whitewater rafting to Class V in Guatemala and Costa Rica and takes kayak and canoe trips. Francis also enjoys windsurfing, telemarking, water skiing, horseback riding and running. He has lived on a farm his entire life and is currently a coffee farmer.

Athletic Resume: Kristel is an accomplished horseback rider. She was on the Dartmouth College Equestrian team and was a showjumper throughout northern New England. She played collegiate polocross and trekked the Conemara trail in Southern Ireland. Kristel has been rock climbing in Guatemala and the US and has ice climbed in the Columbia River Gorge. She has climbed several of the Guatemalan volcanoes and has taken various rafting trips, Class III to V. Kristel organized and lead a sea kayaking trip in Guatemala to raise awareness of environmental and unplanned development problems.

He has trekked extensively through the jungles and cloud forests of Guatemala and has been whitewater rafting in Guatemala and Costa Rica. He races triathlons and enjoys windsurfing and surfing. He was a member of the Guatemalan Track and Field team and has been ice climbing in Nevado de Mexico and Popocatepetl.
