Hello Mountain Zone cybernauts, this is Vern Tejas with Alpine Ascents' Team Criminals in Training on Mount Kilimanjaro.

Here we are, we're on the southeast side. We've traversed across the south side of the mountain, underneath the hanging glaciers and through the giant lobelias, one of the team's favorites. We're now camped at 12,400 feet above sea level in a canyon called Torenga. We're lucky we're getting out tonight and if we have some interruptions it's probably because the satellite has moved over the rim of the canyon itself.

So with that, we want to say that everybody is now very acclimatized and we're getting very excited about the possibilities of moving up and into position for our summit bid. We'll keep you abreast of that situation later.

In the meantime, we'd like to say all's well, weather's great, we're having a great time and wish you were here. Now we'll move right into the P.S.'s.
