Hi Mountain Zone, this is Todd. We're back at the hotel. We missed the cybercast yesterday, we were just really working hard.

We got up about 11:30 and we were on our way by midnight. It was a beautiful evening but chilly and we hiked, it took us about seven or eight hours, to reach the summit and it was a beautiful summit day.

"Seventeen out of 18 of us reached the summit. It was fanatastic and everyone is back safe and sound...."
Seventeen out of 18 of us reached the summit. It was fanatastic and everyone is back safe and sound. Last night we got in late after moving slow and easy all day on the mountain. From the summit, it was just clear skies and you could see in every direction, Mount Meru and all the plains in Africa and conditions were great on the hill.

Everybody had a fanatstic time and everybody's safe and everybody was tired as can be last night so we went to bed as soon as we hit the tents.

We got up early this morning and we had a five-hour hike down through the jungle. It's been very dry which has been good for the climb so some of the muddy spots down in the jungle were pretty dry mud so it was easy travels and it took us about five hours to walk down.

Then we got down to the park gate and we had a big celebration with all of our 50 porters and six guides; it was quite a celebration. We all gave our tips out and they carried us around in chairs and we had some drinks with them. They were just a bunch of fabulpous people. It was just a great expedition.

And now we're just going to go get a shower and have a barbecue and first thing in the morning we head out on safari to the Tarangire. Deborah says 'hi' to Kim and life is great in Africa. Talk to you soon. Bye-bye.
