Hello everyone, this is Matt Walker and Mike Roberts for team vegeMIGHT from 14 camp on Denali. We had a leisurely rest day here, finally got in the groove about noon for brunch. The weather today is warm and the skies are clearing, although there are large lenticulars blanketing the summit.

"...we climbed 45 degree ice for about 800 vertical feet, a section which ends on an exposed ridge..."

Yesterday we carried a cache of gear to 16,200'. It was a strenous day for the group. We took advantage of the fixed lines in place below the ridge, and climbed 45 degree ice for about 800 feet, a section of climbing which ends on an exposed ridge. Following this ridge for 1,000 vertical feet will lead us to our next camp.

We'll be resting here at 14 for an improvement in weather and to give our bodies a chance to recover and further acclimate. The rest of our day will be spent lounging in the tents, reading and listening to music. Tough living today at 14 camp.

Mike would like to convey his sympathies to his wife's sister Suzy, who was just involved in a serious accident. Our thoughts go out to our friends and families. Special thanks go out to Paul Bradley for generously supplying us with music.

Good night, everyone.
