Hello MountainZone, this is John Culver of Alpine Ascents, up at 14,200' on the West Buttress of Mount McKinley. It's a beautiful, sunny evening right now, about 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

"we headed up in a storm, and finished up at 16,000' in the sunshine..."

Today, all of the team, the Dalai Lamas team, went to 16,000', where we left equipment and supplies for our final push up to Camp 5. We headed up in a storm, and finished up at 16,000' in the sunshine, cached our gear and came back down to camp.

Our plan is to assess the weather conditions tomorrow, and if the conditions are good and the team feels good, we're going to push on up to 17,200'. And from there we're going to rest a day and look for a weather window to attempt to go to the summit.

So that's our report, hope everybody is well, and greetings from Mount McKinley. Thank you, Bye.
