Hello MountainZone, this is the latest cybercast from Alpine Ascents group 5 titled Das Boots. This is Brennan Brunner signing in. I'm the second half of the guiding team, I've wrested the phone away from Dave Bangert. I'm a single white man who loves walks in the woods, preferably attached by a rope separated by 50 feet and hauling a sled.

" We are sitting out a storm; we have blowing snow, wind gusts up to about 45 miles-an-hour max, averaging 20-30 all day and blowing snow and everything. But, we are well situated..."

So I'm calling from our 14.2 camp; we have spent a bit of time here. You wouldn't be tuning into this broadcast if you didn't wonder what it was like here climbing Denali. It's a beautiful place and certainly one of the more spectacular mountain views in the world. I will say though that it helps if you like the color white. And that is typically true of today.

We made a successful carry to 16.2. We are actually on the mountain with our gear now, but we got hit by some weather today. We are sitting out a storm; we have blowing snow, wind gusts up to about 45 miles-an-hour max, averaging 20-30 all day and blowing snow and everything. But, we are well situated in terms of out attempt on the mountain and in our camp.

Around camp, we spent our day building walls, telling stories and eating well. And it seems like the weather will continue this way at least another day and spirits are very high. So no problems there, but I have no doubt we can motivate ourselves if it comes to staying in the tent becomes a problem.

The group wants to wish all their friends and family well, I do also. And that's it for us. Expect a call here in another day. Hey thanks, bye.
