This is Eric Remza, Alpine Ascents Upward Dogs up at 17,000 feet on Denali.

We got up here yesterday, we moved in. It was kind of windy starting out, but I think as we got up to Washburn's Thumb, it died down a little bit. A couple of teams did turn back but we just kind of poked our heads around and checked it out. It did mellow out for us so that was great.

Today we ended up sleeping in, you know getting some good rest, some people had some minor headaches but we hydrated and everyone is feeling great now.

"...we have a total of five days worth of food left up here and that gives us five attempts at the summit...."

We did some work on our wall, we had to do some last night and that kind of hammered everyone, but today we definitely made a nice fortification around our tents here at 17,000 feet. Forrest and two guys, Kurt and Roland, went down to Washburn's Thumb to get the rest of our cache, so we have a total of five days worth of food left up here and that gives us five attempts at the summit.

So it's looking okay for tomorrow, we got the weather report. It's supposed to be some high winds, but there is a high pressure moving in and everything does look good. These high winds are supposed to be around 40-50 from the east. If it is that intense we probably won't go for the summit. But our plan tomorrow is to get a cracking start, if things look pretty good up there, we're going to make our way up to Denali Pass, kind of poke our heads around and see if things keep on looking good we might go for the summit, if not we will try again the next day.

I did talk to Dave Morton and Conan Bliss, their team is at 14 and planning on moving up tomorrow. So that's it for now, I will give you an update tomorrow. This is Eric Remza out, see ya.
