Hey everyone out there, this is Dave Morton once again with Alpine Ascents' second Denali expedition.

It's about 8:45 on the 23rd and we just took a load of gear and food up to 16 at the top of the fixed lines today. Had a really nice day, beautiful skies. There was a little bit of wind up at the Col, but everything went very smoothly and everybody feels great. So any of you wondering about all of these guys on this trip, everybody feels very strong and is doing very well.

Tomorrow we're going to move up to our camp at 16,200 feet, weather permitting, and assuming everybody feels as well in the morning as they do right now. As I said, we've got this ongoing thing with these guys: none of these guys want me to tell anybody on these cybercasts what we've been eating because they think they're going to appear soft. So naturally I feel obliged to mention everything that we've had. Last night we had some baby back ribs and everybody got out of their tents and walked around just to so that the guided group next door could see what we were eating. It was quite a feast, and we had some ice cream after that, it was wonderful. We're going to have bacon and eggs for breakfast.

Once again we're living pretty well up here, and things are going very well. We're thankful for all the wonderful weather we've been having. And it looks like there's supposed to be high pressure through early next week. One downside to that is that there's been high pressure really around the Alaska Range region, but there's been pretty high winds up high on the mountain, so there haven't been a whole lot of people summiting over the past five days, so hopefully that will change when we get up and there will be some calmer winds.

Forrest and Eric are going to go for the summit tomorrow so we wish them the best of luck and we should see them tomorrow evening at 17, so we will talk to you again, bye, bye.
