Hello MountainZone, this is Alpine Ascents international Ama Dablam 2002 Expedition, on Wednesday the 27th of November. It's the day before thanksgiving. We are sending thanksgiving greetings to everyone and all the families and friends of the people out here climbing.

Yesterday, sorry we didn't call you. We had a big, big project and practiced climbing ropes with jumars and then the clouds came in the afternoon and we got too busy and neglected to call you. But we'll try to keep it coming at least every other day to conserve batteries.

And just to let you know what we're doing today.. today everyone has packed up their gear and we're sending it by Yak to Yak camp and from there it'll go to camp one and we'll start building camp one tomorrow. Today everyone has a light load and their walking to Yak camp. They've taken off and its about ten o-clock, ten-thirty in the morning now and everyone's started to hiking towards Yak camp. It's about a five or six hour walk around the backside. It's as high as we can take yaks and then we'll come back tonight for dinner.

Everybody's eager to get on the mountain, but we need to do this in a thoughtful way and climatize ourselves accordingly. So we'll see tomorrow how people are feeling after today's efforts. and see whether we move everybody up tomorrow.

(End of transmission)
