Hey MountainZone, this is Alpine Ascents International Ama Dablam 2002 Expedition, Jim Williams reporting. We are in Pangboche. We had a beautiful night. Yesterday afternoon we went to see the Lama in Thyangboche on our walk by, and he gave us a short blessing, and then we walked into Pangboche. Got here about 4 o'clock in the afternoon, 4 to 5. The clouds came up from the valley and obscured the mountains for a short time, but we could see Lhotse and Nuptse sticking out from under the clouds and we had a beautiful sunset.

The clouds all went away during the night and we have another glorious day. Temperatures warmed up. We're standing here in the sun, just crested the hill and it's about, oh, 55 degrees outside.

We're gonna take a day hike today with just our day packs up towards Base Camp, gonna move all our Base Camp equipment to Base Camp today, and the Sherpas are going to stay and set up camp and we're going to come back down to the village of Pangboche and have dinner here tonight and see how people feel after a second night here. The elevation here in Pangboche is, according to my watch, 3917 meters. You guys can do the math and figure out the feet (laugh)

I've got Randy Luskey with me right now, he's going to give a little bit more update.

(Randy): Hello, this is Randy Luskey, reporting in. I just wanted to welcome my family back to Denver, Nicole and Christian and Will, and tell them all that I miss them, and that we're having a wonderful time here. Team seems strong, everybody's feeling well, and I think we're going to have a good shot at doing well on the mountain. The weather here is great. It's actually warmer up here than it was down lower, so we're hoping to get a few more days like that before we start really freezing. So, anyway, welcome home to Nicole and everybody, and talk to you soon.

(Jim): Ok, we'll be moving up and we'll give you a call tomorrow. Take care MountainZone and everybody, and, enjoy. Bye-bye.
